>From James Ledbetter's column in the Village Voice (2/25/97):

The latest issue of Eye, a zine published in North Carolina, urges
opponents of cyber-censorship to post this on their Web pages: "Gary Bauer
of the Family Research Council is a staunch anti-homosexual conservative.
He sees the gay movement as absolutely pure fascism, and he probably thinks
watching gay movies is the greatest terror."

According to Eye, the CYBERsitter software program--one of the commercially
available V-chips--will strip out the words "homosexual," "fascism," and
"terror," leaving readers with the following: "Gary Bauer of the Familiy
Research Council is a staunch anti-conservative. He sees the gay movement
as absolutely pure, and he probably thinks watching gay movies is the
greatest."

The NP in the header stands for "Not Pynchon." I promise I'll try to keep
such messages to a minimum, but I thought foax here would appreciate this
one.
