All this talk of Lenny Bruce should bring up Old Dead Terry Southern
and his takes on old El BeeJay. (Both of 'em were Texans..)

(and one should consider Bill Moyers' evil twin, Billy Lee Brammer,
author of THE GAY PLACE. one of the best Merkin novels of politics
in this instance..)

And you have a whole other Hollywood producer to drag over the
coals. John Landis, whom, I recall directed 1941......
