Andrew,

Since your latest GRGR post is so all-encompassing of the book, I'm trying
furiously to get this reading completed. I'd hoped to do so in a marathon
session over the past weekend, but, no dice. It has been awhile since my
last complete reading of GR and I want to get everything fresh in my mind,
lest I make inane comments.

You know, I've been wondering if all of this "ebonics", "hate-speech",
racism, an pc-stuff-in-general wasn't a peculiarly late 20th Century
American obsession. I think you just answered my unasked question.

Unfortunately, I'm sure it seems that way to someone who doesn't have the
high honor of living in the wonderful US of A, but non-minorities over
here have just been so beaten about the neck and head with the guilt of
our ancestors that there's a tendency towards over-compensation, IMHO.

Personally, had I the wherewithal to do so, I'd become an expatriate.

I think you're safe in thinking otherwise.
