Reading:
-Fifty pages from completion of "The Recognitions" (why have I passed up
 Gaddis until now?)
-Pasolini's "Theorem"
-Various histories of military medicine (work, but interesting
 nonetheless)

Listening:
Loren Mazzacane Connors, Masada, Coleman, Coltrane, The Ex, and the VU
box set all fighting for play-time in the CD player lately.

On a more specifically Pynchonian note: one thing I've often been curious
about is whether anyone has ever written music for and recorded any of the
songs in TRP's books -- anybody know? I have this wish for someone like
Tom Waits to do a "Gravity's Rainbow" album someday...
