Reading/Listening

[davemarc]

I recently enjoyed Rick Moody's The Ice Storm. Every now and then I've
been dipping into The Benchley Roundup, a collection of Robert Benchley
essays assembled by his son Nathaniel, the father of Peter, the author of
Jaws (which, as you all must know, was filmed by the flawless Steven
Spielberg). And then there's those raunchy pieces by Amy Sohn in The New
York Press....

Listening matter includes loads of Gershwin-related recordings and a
typically trashy K-Rock rotation.

I've also been enjoying two CD-Roms: Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time
and Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail. And I finally
(whoosh!) caught the theatrical revival of The Cocoanuts (a great Marx
Brothers comedy by George S. Kaufman).
