Hmmm...my list looks quite light compared to many of those
I've seen posted. Here's what's on my nightfloor (no table).
Aside from *GR*, I'm reading

   *Linux Secrets* by Barkakati
*Teach Yourself Visual Basic 4 in 21 Days* by Gurewich and Gurewich
*Quicker Than the Eye* by Bradbury

Guess I wanted to put some distance between me and class I just finished
teaching (although I will be reading some more Melville here soon).

On the CD/Walkman, I'm bobbin'/bangin' my head to

*Live Art* by Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
        (That bass player kicks.)
*The Birthday Concert* by Jaco Pastorious
(Wish he recorded "Chromatic Fantasy" live before he passed on.)
   *Promised Land* by Queensryche
*The Burdens of Being Upright* by Tracy Boyington
        (Hey, I'm not proud.)
   *Tragic Kingdom* by No Doubt
        (Like I said...)
*Stranger Than Fiction* by Bad Religion
*Evil Empire* by Rage Against the Machine

Can anyone suggest some good reading in comparative religion/mythology?
