_White Noise_ (almost done) and _JR_ (just started). On the stereo I've
been listening to obscure old 60s and 70s groups like Cat Mother and the All
Night Newsboys, SeaTrain, and Sweet Thursday. And some not-so-obscure stuff
like The Animals. All vinyl, natch. I used to like those obscure groups
when I was on the east coast, and the no-format stations like WBCN in Boston
and WBRU in Providence would play 'em. And if that's not bad enough, I just
returned from five days in Sacramento where the "classical" station, KXPR,
has switched to an all "Les Preludes" format and the "jazz" station, KXJZ,
alternates between Kenny G and David Sanborn 24 hours a day. I guess you
could call that "white noise," if not the actual heat death of the universe.
