See what you mean. But probably, fortunately, not still another
instance of good or even merely popular books making bad
movies. Or so it seems to me.
Paradoxically, doesn't the failure in adaptations often stem from
trying to retain TOO MUCH of the original--awkwardly tacking
on favorite bits here and there whose absences are otherwise likely
to be vociferously missed?
Pray GR will never be a movie.
Better to start with fairly undistinguished material, then take it
unfettered from there.
