The Man

Someone opines in a passionate rant at the SteeledOne:

Now then, as a working hack, lemme say that you've got that all wrong.   
  Many journalists are not simply responsible for keeping the Man in   
charge, they ARE the Man.  Remember COINTELPRO?  And that's history.

That said, I don't suspect Steely of employment by: i) an intelligence   
agency; ii) a bunch of besuited robber capitalists; iii) a totalitarian   
dictator; or iv) any of the above's death squads.  I also don't suspect   
him of complacency. Indeed, he seems to spend most of his time trying to   
expose the activity of i), ii), iii) and iv); a rare pursuit indeed for a   
hack at the end of C20.
