I have to confess, I suppose, to being--as accused--a "litcritter" but since
I do a bunch of stuff and none of it is *officially* related to Pynchon 
pursuits, it really counts as more of a hobby.  I feel rather like one of
those dedicated 19th-century amateur archeologists who went around trying 
to dig up Troy and such.
