I'll second that, and go on to say that this book is damme good.  I am
really, finally, starting to appreciate the idea of a mass discussion, as I
missed most of the GRGR.  And I'm finding that, once again, I'm not reading
Pynchon with a sense of urgency, or that
"oh-hell-I-gotta-read-this-shit-for-class-a-and-am-I-the-only-one-who-did-th
e-reading-for-today-besides-Dr.-Thompson--again?" pressure. I am savoring
almost every passage, no matter how slight, and am really becoming quite
fond of Mason's and Dixon's relationship.  I really don't give a flying
fuck if it's historickally accurate; I'm simply having a blast just
imagining the possibilities . . .
