Oh, whattt. Is my fragile pop song reality about to be shattered--for
the *second* time in my young life? Are you going to tell me,
Harrison Sherwood, you fascisti Dick Clark you, that "Brazil" isn't
called "Brazil?" Now listen, be gentle with me: I'm a loathsome 36,
and neither a boomer nor an x-er be. Despised by all, ya got me? My
musical heritage? Disco. OK? I'm not proud of it, but that's what I
got this time around. Listen: It took half of high school for me to
recover from Gnostic shock when I discovered that the song I had
known, and loved--and MEM-orized even--as "Teenage Wasteland" was
actually called--well, look, don't make me say it, OK?

What's next? "The Hut Hut Song" isn't code? Frank Sinatra didn't
write "My Way?" The walrus really *is* Paul?

Do your worst, Sherwood, it's just another brick in the wall.

     Wimoweh,

     Chris

     Is it the Transit
     or simply a crock?
Is it the passage of plan(ets)
     or mere paradox?
     Is it the ket-jaaaaap
     that makes me so coy......
