M&D being remaindered already?

$20 for a $27 hardcover used to be just about Barrons & Robbers's
default discount for current hardcovers. It's just a bit over 25%.
Doesn't sound like overstock or paperback edition; Amazon is
advertising $11 off (which probably means $10.80 -- 40%), which would
make their price $16.20. It's still a NYT Best Seller, so it's either
20 or 30% off at one of the Chain Store Massacres.

My snail-mail had a copy of the "Edward R. Hamilton Bookseller" catalog
yesterday and as I was browsing it I saw M&D listed in it, at a cost of
$19.95.
This catalog is essentially a clearinghouse for publisher overstocks and
remaindered books. It usually contains a lot of crap and very seldom do
I find anything in it of any real value, even at their discounted prices.
Did Henry Holt ove-restimate the potential of M&D?
