save the p-list

I would certainly hate to be deprived of my daily unmoderated
p-list fix. Dumbness and all. Atleast it is OUR dumbness. It seems
to me p-listers have little or nothing in common save that all
important one thing--we all like Pynchon for our own widely
different reasons. But that small one thing is too good
to throw idly away.

I can't imagine anyone having the time or inclination to serve
as moderator. It seems to me, in fact, that anyone volunteering
for the job would automatically be disqualified on the basis of,
well, just about any criterion you could name.

None is this is to say we don't need to improve. In pursuit of
that goal I would suggest the following exercise: Everybody
would write in a list of things they like and things they
hate about the list. And there could even be a third category:
things we love to hate. Don't discount this third factor.
A daily cause for indignation has proved in scientiific studies
to be good for your health. Anyway a lot of people might be surprised
at what others like or disilike. My list, if I did it honestly,
would be a shocker. Any my heath I am happy to report is excellent.

Love ya all,
				P.
