Sfacim sfacimento is so suggestive of that great-sounding
thing they do in Latin with inflections (used to do):
mutatis mutandis--the necessary changes having been changed
sanctum sanctorum--the holy of holies
per omnia saecula saeculorum--world without end
in saecula saeculorum--for ever and ever
servus servorum Dei--servant of the servants of God
imperium in imperio--a government within a government
ignotum per ignotius--the difficult through the more difficult
gratia gratiam partit--kindness begets kindness
facio ut facias--I do that you may do
omne vivum ex vivo--life comes from life.
Wishing I remembered more of this fabulous language than
a few famous sayings.
