The future of the list?

With regard to creating the post of designated faultfinder for the 
p-list:

Gall too but of the violets growing here in our garden
not all are of the shrinking variety. Nor could it be
pure gall. There will need to be an element of humility in the
designee, who, in announcing his or her self-appointment to the
position, will be acknowledging responsibility to the group
and a willingness to accept criticism for bad calls from any
other member.

The big problem as I see it (in addition to would it do any good)
is who would have the time or energy. Maybe, someone might
offer themselves for a three-month stint. It might even be better
if the position were rotating, like department heads in a
university or something.
