The future of the list -- nanny time?

Once more into the fray, but not interminably: 

How come Andrew's long post of a moment ago, as well as Charles's of
yesterday, had nothing to say about any "special pleading" on the part of
the *male* P-listers I'd mentioned and quoted?  

How come these men were neither defined nor defended as no "shrinking
violets" indeed?  

And how come all this energy is being put into denying the very obvious:
even with the numerical disparity of male and female members of this list,
any [make it as cursory or detailed as you like] review of the P-list
archives will readily reveal that the women on this list have spoken with
exceptional, uncommon, eye-catching infrequency.  

Methinks the gentlemen do protest too much....
