"Fire the Bastards!"

	In the introduction to the Penguin edition of *The Recognitions,*
William Gass (not Gaddis) says that "Fire the Bastards" is written under a
pseudonym. Anybody around here know who the culprit is? Could it be Gaddis
(not Gass) himself?
