     True, but even in those cases their small articles--the three- to 
     six-liners that "fill out a page" especially--are generally direct 
     from the wire services. It's often just the "headline" articles, in 
     which experts such as Thomas A. Easton are "cited," where they run 
     afoul of the truth.

     (There are exceptions:  the Weekly World News and other tabloids, 
     sometimes make "news" up out of whole cloth.)
