GR & Cathar Mandala

While doing research on the Albigensian Crusade I came across an image that
struck me. There are a couple of references to Catharism in GR. One of their
symbols is a solar cross within a circle. An image can be found at

It could be just a coincidence. The circle is a universal symbol. Any
thoughts out there on this one?
