I don't think I've seen too much said on the Golem mentioned in chapter 50.
Just thought I'd mention something that could have fit nicely in here. In
Prague there is a legend of a master craftsmen who created a human-like
automaton. I believe, I may be mistaken here, that this was also the one who
created the famous clock tower in The Old Town Square, Starometska. It has
besides the twelve-hour clock a zodiac wheel showing the position of nearly
all the celestial bodies. On the hour statues of a Turk, merchant, avenging
angel, someone gazing in a mirror, and Death shake their heads. Death also
turns over an hourglass. The twelve apostles parade in front of two windows.
If you go up the tower you can see the apostles up close. The statues only
consist of their upper bodies. Come the hour they rotate on a mechanical
track of chains and gears which make them face out the window then turn and
proceed to do the same at the next window.
