A "review" of LINELAND

Different reviewers and review outlets do things differently. My
personal preference would be that reviewers never use such copy -- like
you said, it looks bad. But Midwest Book Reviews seems to do that quite
a bit if they like a book (Lineland was an Editor's Choice), simply
quoting some of the promotional copy and adding a sentence or two of
their own.

Perhaps the review in the July 1 of Kirkus Reviews will be more to your
liking. (I haven't seen it yet, but I don't think they ever quote
promotional copy, no matter how much they like a book.)

BTW, http://www.iam.com/lineland/reviews.html has pointers to other
reviews for those who are interested.
