So, where do I begin to correct the misrepresentations in this
diatribe. I cannot recall ever claiming to be anything other than
middle-class and I don't recall expressing any great hopes for wookin'
foak either - I thnk you should ask George orwell about that one.
A-and I didn't announce that `all cultures lead to death and
destruction' I reported Pynchon as having announced it - you do recall
that line about `our mission to promote death' on or around page 720
of GR, don't you, Diana. Right slap bang in the heart of the most
carefully contextualized history of European imperialism and American
know-how I have ever read - don't know about you. Which only goes to
confirm that a simple gloss (as presented in my note and as Pynchon
presents on or around page 720) should never be taken as anything more
than a simple gloss - not that you and I would presume otherwise, eh
Diana.
As for your shameless and risible attempt to smear sexism over my
sexuality like so much dog shit I'll restrict myself to noting that
you have no idea what I like to pretend to be (even if only for a
while), you don't know which way I like to swing and you clearly are
not acquainted with the sort of nobility, strength and truth I prefer
to find in other people's hearts, never mind what I look for in their
pants. Sorry, girlie, but your `fear' for my needs is misdirected by
about 90 degrees.
