I can only assume (I know I know there are certain dangers associated with
assuming) that you are refering to my post complimenting Andrew's brief
synopsis of Pynchon--hardly amounting to "veneration." Next time someone
sends a post complimenting something you wrote maybe I'll send a snotty
message accusing them of worshiping at the altar of St. Diane the
Extremely Touchy. And anyhow where do you get this idea that "several
other people" look to Andrew as some sort of oracle?
