Hedy Synchronicity

Got home from work today, got my Time magazine (3/17/97)out of the mailbox
and sat down to read it as I ate my ramen soup and grilled cheese.  Saw
the following on page 73, bottom right corner: 

     Hedy Lamarr is always ahead of her time.  In 1933 she pranced
     naked onscreen in _Ecstacy_.  Now Lamarr, 82, is being recog-
     nized for a different breakthrough.  The Electronic Frontier
     Foundation is honoring her for a 1942 patent that anticipated
     frequency-hopping technology used in satellites and cellular
     phones.
