Franz is not domineering nor particularly hostile. Extreme rationalism
can indeed manifest as MCPiggery but not every rationalist is also a
misogynist and bully, things I consider to be essential elements of
the MCP's makeup.

Well, yes and no. They can try. And they might even respond right
first time thanks to nothing more than the usual familiar voodoo which
gets us through the usual day to day situations. While yer typical
rationalist will stand his ground in the face of incomprehension
declaiming `parse error, parse error, does not compute . . .', someone
who is less of a basket case will say (and/or do something to the
effect) `You mean like this . . .' which, even if it is an
inappropriate response, will at least thereby initiate a dialogue
which may converge on clarity.
