I don't remember anyone on the list ever mentioning Haruki Murakami
(_Wild Sheep Chase_, _Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World_).
I guess he could be considered SF, or borderline SF, at least, as some of
the others mentioned could. Whatever genre, he's damn good, I think. A
little Pynchonesque, even . . . hyeugh hyeugh.
