The English poet and critic Jeremy Reed writes some VERY
interesting Sci-Fi. Or not-quite-but-almost sci-fi.
The last one was Diamond Nebula, as near to Blake as
Douglas Adams, Highly recomended.
His book on madness and poetry (Madness:The Price of Poetry)
is also recommended. An out-of-the-closet Pynchonian, he
will be speaking at IPW on Pynchon and the romantic
imagination.
