Sentimental Journey

I was in my mid thirties ten years ago, (46 now), as a child I had very few
toys and none that I really cared for While reading the posts on this
thread I found it hard to remember those I liked best : my sister's bike, a
swinging horse, a plastic trumpet (no muted horn, to the utter exasperation
of family an neigbours) a few Dinky Toys cars and a garage my father had
made out of a few pieces of wood. Nothing sophisticated, nor very expensive
: we couldn't afford it.
Wish I had kept those Dinkies though, I saw some going for pretty good
prices at sales.
I had a Meccano too like Andrew but unlike him, I never got to make much
of it, I was and still am terribly clumsy.
