To my knowledge, no one has counted all the words in the book and all the
words that are quotations and come up with an exact percentage. Gee, I
never knew someone might think it important.
(It would be even more time consuming than you might think -- there isn't
always clear typography for when something is/isn't a quote -- the reader
knows from context. Though it makes counting harder for anyone who really
cares, it makes for an easier read than if everything looked exactly as it
does online or were always quoted in the same typographical style (the style
varies depending on various factors and the whim of the author).)
