I believe it's a reference to a song from one of Shakespeare's plays.  Let
me check...

My first guess was that it was something sung by Puck, in _A Midsummer
Night's Dream_.  But as it turns out it's sung by Ariel, in _The Tempest_.
Act V, Scene I, lines 88-94:

	Where the bee sucks, there suck I;
	In a cowslip's bell I lie;
	There I couch when owls do cry.
	On the bat's back I do fly
	After summer merrily.
	Merrily, merrily shall I live now
	Under the blossom that hangs on the bough.
