TRP gossip from Humboldt

[Jay Herzog]

	Jim Dodge, who teaches a fiction workshop I'm in, says that TP is
doing the introduction to an upcoming British edition of his novel "Stone
Junction". He happened to mention that he shared the same literary agent
with Pynchon and was surprised when I told him they (Melanie and Tom) were
man and wife. He also told me that for awhile there was a rumor going
around that he was TRP and he was constantly harrassed by foax
creeping up behind him at book signings yelling "Hey Tom!" hoping he'd
spring around unconsciously.
