Seems there was speculation on this list maybe a year and a half ago that
George Mangels--who's book _Frank's World_ was as I remember also edited
by M. Jackson and published by a press (St. Martins) not known for
publishing first novels--was TRP. _Frank's World_ was in my opinion great
fun and very interesting but _very_ different from Pynchon's style. (Of
course this very great difference could explain the use of a psuedonym...)
(And now that I think about it, FW too began with a very long sentence...)
