Playing Pudding (and...)

I first read GR in the mid-80s when I thought that the best to play Katje would 
be the female part of "Dempsey & Makepiece". Unfortunately, I cannot recall her 
name. Info: It's this British detective series where this guy from NY comes to 
Britain to work together with this strikingly beautiful British lieutenant(?) 
who exactly fits TRP's descritption of Katje and who would be the best to pick 
for the role.
