That's not what happened. As I understand it, GK noted that Deep
Blue-generated records of its moves weren't being presented immediately,
meaning that there was room for IBM--not its machine--to cheat (by having
its human attendees choose moves and *then* create printouts of them). He
asked for the moves to be analyzed over the coming weeks for signs of human
(or, if you prefer, IBM) tampering.
