I've got nothing against the occasional flame, but notice the word 
is "flame," not "fire" or "conflagration," "immolation," or "pyre." 
The following was sent to me by a p-list "offline" but I think it 
deserves "online."

alt.flame has existed on UseNet for about as long as there has been 
a .alt hierarchy.

Perhaps the next time someone needs to prove that their bunsen burner 
is hotter and their lab coat more flammable, they'll take it to the 
hades of alt.flame and see if any of the pros are impressed.
