Speaking of Eric--an M&D possible spoiler

Given the occasional interest expressed here by Eric and others in the
poetry of Wallace Stevens, I have a question about M&D:






























When Tenebrae accompanies Rev. Cherrycoke's narration on her oboe, do you
think TRP intends a connection to Stevens' poem "Asides on the Oboe"?
I see some myself, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
