P-list litigation: a response

Most of the great Marx Bros. material was made in the 1930s and in the early 40s before WWII.  Pogo didn't come into existence until the mid-40s or possibly as late as 1948 or so (reference material at home, sorry.  Solid dates later for any who ask).  Thus, I'd have to say Unca Walt (Kelly not Disney) was borrowing from Chico.

And an aside to p-listers - If you haven't read Pogo, you may want to check out some of the strip collections from the 50s and 60s.  Brilliant stuff.  Should fit right in with our collective taste.
