Mr. Kipen's very review was also in Austin-American Statesman, May 4,
1997. A good one. It was, however, not included in the real Books 
section. (Whose main stories are *always* dedicated to Austinite, or 
if this is not possible, Texan writers, with titles like AUSTIN WRITER
GETS CONSOLATION PRIZE IN CENTRAL TEXAS SHORT STORY COMPETITION!)

No, the literary editor placed Mr. Kipen's review among wedding
announcements. (The amount of the review's possible readers thus
growing exponentially; perhaps this was a calculated part of the 
novel's promotion campaign?)
