David Kipen has reviewed both "Mason & Dixon" (Los Angeles Daily News, April
27, 1997), and Pynchon's liner notes for "Spiked! The Music of Spike Jones"
(Los Angeles Times, May 8, 1994). When not keeping up with the Pynchon list
at Dkipen at aol.com, he is senior editor of Buzz magazine. He finds "Lineland"
"completely lacking in scruple, merit, and most of my really clever posts."
