Somebody on this list mentioned that JBC was one of his favorite authors -
I just
wanted to tell him that while I was packing last night I came across a book
which I
forgot I had:

Something about Eve : a comedy in fig-leaves / by James
Branch Cabell ; illustrated by Fank C. Pape.  New York : Robert
M. McBride & Co., 1929. First illustrated edition.

The book is quite lovely with a lot of illustrations plus a dozen plates -
The essay by JBC
"A little more about Eve" is unique to this edition - I only have the
vaguest recollection
of the reading the book so I can't say much about it - I do have fond
(albeit dim) memories
of JURGEN

Anyway, I hope this gets to the right person
