You say PoMo; I say trade for profit before option expires

I've been wanting to jump into the thread on PoMo but now am glad that I
waited until M. Mittelwerk brilliantly defined the absence of a space
around the Logocentrically privileged nail that constitutes itself as
both target and progenitor of the _frappe de la conscient._

Once our PoMo protagonist self-referentially introduces a ruputure with
classically postPlatonic discourse, there's nothing to be proved in a
classical sense, and discourse no longer goes from point x to point y
with anything like predictably causal connections. This makes discourse
fascinatingly self-referential and -- only in the hands of the truly
brilliant like M. Derrida -- creative. IMO the derrivative mumlings of
certain academic practitioners belong in the same trashcan that Socrates
peripatetically perambulated by.

But -- & here's the rub -- once having ruptured the postPlatonic causal
chain, PoMo practitioners can't then go back and pretend to have asserted
and/or demonstrated (de-monstrated?) any thing.

Or to play with M. Mittelwerk's formula: "... it's not really a theory,
per se, but a typology of one" -- or a topology of one, which is perhaps
the problem. Metaphysics hasn't died; it's just being rewritten.

Meanwhile, as in a previous posting, I still maintain the charge on
electrons hasn't been much disturbed by the absences created by the
putative death of metaanything.
