"We"? Sorry, Jesper, but I've read the book a couple of times and think
it's utterly amazing. I think the blazing colors of Gravity's Rainbow can
blind a reader to the subtler shades in M&D. There's a *lot* there, and I
think one might live with it for awhile before rendering judgment.
I personally find it has breathtaking depth and humanity, a complexity of
structure only now beginning to come into focus, and I think it's
hilarious in extreme.
You are missing something, my friend.
