I've only read _M&D_ once, but it tops _GR_ for me. The issues
resonate a little closer to my soul. I'll have to read them both
again (and again and again) and no doubt my feelings will shift,
but I don't think _M&D_ will lose anything.
And, for what it's worth, I'm quite close to finishing _Infinite
Jest_ and it's not even in the same league. Okay, but, geez, this
one doesn't deserve to be sputtered about in the company the cover
places it. (Pynchon, Gaddis, Joyce)
_The Recognitions_ is the book at the top of my heavy hitter
list, once again because its issue are closer to my soul that _GR_.
