Delisle was involved in the discovery of Halley's Comet, according to a
brief and hurried glance at the Cambridge History of Astronomy on a
bookstore shelf a while ago; I think it said Delisle predicted the comet's
appearance on its return from going around the Sun.

213.31 `Lemonnier' Any biographical details?

According to scanty information in A History of Astronomy, by Pannekoek
(Dover, 1989) information from Lemonnier helped confirm Bradley's
observation of the oscillation of star called Draconis that Bradley
explained with the concept of "nutation" (194.16-17, MDMD(6) Notes &
Queries, Ch 19)
