Lessee.  A couple of guys have the temerity to state that they're bored by
all this nonsense -- threading back, I believe, to when someone said he'd
lost his virginity, fer Christ's sake.

Then somebody else says, in effect, that this boredom is invalid because
other people undergo things more "deeply felt -- like a speculum."

Invoke the speculum and we dudes are supposed to cringe in humility and
concede all points.  Ever been kicked in the nuts?  And some guys, protozoans
though we may be, feel invaded by a good thorough rectal exam, with or
without prostate massage.
