A nice move and good chuckle material, but -- Derrida notwithstanding,
there's that little thing Freud named the unconscious. Hume had done much
the same in the way of showing how it works, and a few centuries earlier,
too, but did not bother to give it a name. And oh boy, does it ever mess up
with any attempt to dismiss the idea of itention.
Less learnedly, animals behave with all sorts of itentions, sans speech or
writing. Any skeptics out there, just check out Jane Goodall's work --
unless you've ever had a dog or a cat and need no outside confirmation of
the above.
