The De(con)struction of MalignD

Is canard really the word you want here, Doug? Putting canards to rest is wrong, in my opinion. And personally, I'm vehemently opposed to all those responsibility-laden denizens of The Well. They're fat! Let those people remain chained to their Predestined and coldly preterite End, I say.
The great thing about the Internet is that every seat is a Front Row seat, even for those wishing to remain Anonymous. I got to see all the gore flying around the ring during the MalignD vs. dmaus Superbout yesterday and I felt just like Katie Dunn. Geek love is just so cool! Previously, Quail managed to vanquish some pesky flamers by my momma's old technique of The Silent Treatment which always drove me futzing nutz, though maybe that was from the closet she locked me in with the Carrie-style Jesus dangling from the rafters.
I was wondering whether anything could be learned from a deconstruction of the MalignD vs. dmaus bout WRT not being a flamer's patsy short of the oh-so unsatisfying Silent Treatment so I huffed and I puffed at my Alice Through the Looking Glass hookah this afternoon and I concluded that...fuck yeah there was shit to be learned here!
First of all, it's clear from dmaus's tattered white flag with its sheepish concluding squib about VLVL(7) that he was the Loser yesterday. MalignD won the bout not merely because she's generously endowed with both brains 'n boobs, though she is, and is supposedly one of the fun things DFW won't do anymore (namely, tangle with the Hot Oil and Cottage Cheese Wrestling Champ of Alameda County--bet you didn't know that about MalignD?), but she also happened to be on the right side of the issue. dmaus was at a serious, if not insurmountable, disadvantage because he admitted that he had not read most of DFW's shit, thereby allowing MalignD to clobber him with the word "puerile" and the transcendentally obnoxious salutation "old sock." Can you really blame dmaus for losing it??!
The first lesson to be learned here, dmaus, is that honesty does not pay. Honestly. The second is that when flamed, do not deny your Inner Child's rage by apologizing for it later. After all, this was the whole point of the Plastic Ono Band.
But, in one sense, dmaus, you won by posting your fiery capitilized Epistle to MalignD, which burns in my memory still, though I'm sure most P-Listers think you lost because you fell head over testes into MalignD's evil web and became her patsy, her Boy Toy, her Little Hans. It felt good though, didn't it, heh heh. Ah, that MalignD, that Black Widow, what a babe, what a serious piece of ass....
