Sorry for the intrusion, I know this is the week for DFWDFW (damn fine
writers like DFW - or dumb fucking*1 Pynchon-wannabe footnote-obsessed
wordhacks*2...)

Remember someone reporting that VL is full of in-jokes? And everyone
wonders why Brock is so one-dimensionally evil - (I'm beginning to doubt
that - can't offer any evidence as yet). Well I thought you might wanna
know who's who in Vineland. Hang onto your butts. (reference to
influential 90's movie)

Brock is Jules Seigal
Frenesi is his wife
Zoyd is Thomas Pynchon
Prarie is Vineland

Of course the Marquis de Sod, RC and Moonpie, Van Meter and the rest just
fall into place.

NOTE: I have not checked any of this against the objective record (_Who
is Thomas Pynchon...._ published in the Journal Playboy).
