I'll give you a Holocaust

The "Transporting" of the Armenians at the end of the first World War from
about 1917 until 1922 was one of the first "holocausts," not to mention the
"extermination order" in Namibia in 1904. These two major atrocities were
largely ignored by the world in general, giving Hitler the opportunity to say
later something to the effect that, after all, the Turks killed millions of
Armenians, and the world did nothing.
And, of course it continues to this day. Cambodia, Rwanda, etc. A notable
exception is Kosovo, which is a matter of pride to the Clinton-Blair liberals
and the Democratic-Labour coalition (known to the world as Nato). For the
Albanian Kosovars it was an unmitigated disaster, provoking Serb nationalists
to vent their rage on helpless civilians. If it is politically advantageous,
of course there will be intervention. Pol Pot, supplied by Beijing, was
working against the Vietnamese; for political reasons, the Ford
administration saw fit to pretty much ignore the situation until so many
panicked refugees swarming into Thailand made it impossible to ignore. Our
enemy at the time, Viet Nam, finally intervened and put a stop to it after
being threatened with a Khmer Rouge invasion. This "aggression" by the
Vietnamese, by the way, was loudly condemned by President Ford & the
Republican Party. So I'm not just picking on the Democrats here.

And so it goes....
